B.S. Ajai Kumar, MD, Chairman - Dr. Ajai Kumar is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HCG Enterprises Limited, a leading Indian oncology care and research institution. Dr. Ajai Kumar is a practicing radiation and medical oncologist with over 30 years of experience in clinical medicine, research and management of cancer centers in the US and India. Dr. Ajai Kumar is also the Chairman of the Bangalore Institute of Oncology and the Curie Centre of Oncology both at Bangalore, the Bharath Hospital and Institute of Oncology in Mysore, as well as the Malnad Hospital and Institute of Oncology and the Malnad Nursing College, both in Shimoga. He also serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Oncology at JSS Medical College, Mysore.

Dr. Ajai Kumar received his MBBS from St. John's Medical College, Bangalore. He undertook residency training in oncology at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville followed by fellowships in Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology at the M.D Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston.

Gans Ganapati is an entrepreneur and business leader with 17 years of experience in the life sciences and technology sectors in India and the US. Mr. Ganapati was the founding CEO of Triesta Sciences and led the company's business prior to its acquisition by HCG Enterprises in 2005. Prior to founding Triesta, Gans was a Vice President in the Technology Group of Credit Suisse First Boston where he advised leading life sciences and technology companies on several landmark transactions. From 1990 to 1994, he was a Project Executive at Tata Industries Limited in India where he was responsible for establishing new ventures in the life sciences arena. He was instrumental in the founding of Oriental Floratech and Oriental Seritech, two technology-based agriculture companies of the Tata Group. He also worked with the pharmaceutical companies of the Tata Group (Merind, Tata Pharma and Rallis). He started his career as an officer of the Tata Administrative Service in 1989.

Mr. Ganapati received his B Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, his PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Anula K. Jayasuriya, MD, Ph.D. is a venture capitalist with over 20 years of research and business leadership experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. She has served as a Partner at Skyline Ventures, an early stage biotechnology venture capital firm based in Palo Alto, CA as well as at TVM a US-German biotechnology venture capital firm. Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Dr, Jayasuriya served as Vice President, Corporate Development at Genomics Collaborative, Inc. and as Vice President, Clinical Development, Infectious Diseases at Roche Pharmaceuticals.

Anula received an MD and PhD (in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics) from Harvard Medical School. She interned in Pediatrics at Boston Childrens Hospital. She also received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.

Dr. Ganesh Nayak, MD, MS, Director: Dr. Ganesh Nayak is a leading cardio thoracic surgeon in the city of Bangalore and is a consultant at several of the leading tertiary care centres in the city. Dr. Nayak undertook training in surgery at the University of South Carolina, prior to returning to India in 1981. Dr. Ganesh Nayak is also the Managing Director of BM&ORC Ltd.

Dr. Vineet Gupta is the Group Medical Director for HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd (HCG). A medical graduate from University of Delhi, his advanced training was in the US, where he trained at the famed Wayne State University and Barbara Ann Kanmanos Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Detroit. Subsequently, he joined the New York Medical College Comprehensive Cancer Centre, New York, USA and H. Lee Moffitt Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Tampa, which are amongst the top ten cancer centres in the USA, where he pursued advanced and highly specialised training in Benign Hematology, Medical Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation.

He has to his credit several oral presentation and publications in the US. Most recently he read the keynote at the ASCO Breast Cancer Symposium in Washington, DC in September 2008. In this current role as Group Medical Director of HCG, he is providing leadership to align the clinical & research expertise of oncology professionals at HCG institutions, ensuring medical care for cancer patients is advanced, innovative, comprehensive and multidisciplinary.

Mr. A. Sadasivam, is the Chief Operating Officer of the HCG Group Companies, since August 2008.  He is also the president of Triesta Sciences.

Basically a Commerce graduate and Cost Accountant,  Mr. Sadasivam has been associated with Ruia Group since July 2000. Prior to joining HCG, he was the Managing Director of Falcon Tyres Limited of Ruia Group.  He has earlier worked with Brooke Bond, Indian Aluminium, Shaw Wallace and Tata Tea.  Mr. Sadasivam, has over 30 years experience in overall operations, management, sales and marketing, material management, finance and administrative functions in various industries.

He has a good track record of successfully acquiring companies, streamlining the operations, maximizing productivity and thus increasing the profitability of the organizations, he has been associated with. He has the expertise in crisis management and problem solving and has good communication skills to work at all levels of the organization.
